A friend wants me to try Lebanon’s . He rAves about it! Come on is it that good ?

Brian, Lebanon’s is very good and very cheap. They do wonderful vegetarian dishes there, along with some stellar rosemary lamb chops. The charcoal-grilled meats are rave worthy and the gyros are stuffed full and priced to please. Feel free to bring your own wine without a corking fee.

There is a well kept secret regarding the absolute best Chinese Cuisine in the Greater New Orleans area. Please, try Royal China Restaurant located at 600 Veterans Blvd, Metairie. They serve original Dim Sum at this restaurant and the best Cantonese Cuisine you will ever enjoy in Louisiana. The owers are Shirley Lee and Mr. Lee, they have been in business for over 25 years. The more people you bring with you, the more Dim Sum you can try. The larger tables have a lazy susan in the middle of the table that allows each patron to turn and take a portion of a dish as it is served “family style” just like in Hong Kong. I promise, this well kept secret will become an all time favorite! Please let me know your thoughts! It is best to make reservations for parties of 5 or more. Please let Mr Lee & Mrs Shirley know that Monique sent you! I was one of her original waitresses way back when, while in college and have introduced many Americans to Dim Sum at their restaurant. You know the food is good when you walk into a Chinese Restaurant and it is filled with Asians. Enjoy!

Monique, my family and I are long-time fans of Royal China! I’m so unimaginably happy that you took the time to write me and remind me about it. My dad used to take me there all the time as a kid and I remember Mr. and Mrs. Lee well. I’ve been wanting to take my boyfriend there for a long time, and this just might be the perfect week to do so! Thank you so much for sending this message and I’m happy to know that someone who was employed by the restaurant so many years ago can still sing their praises. It certainly tells a lot about the quality of the food they serve and the general enjoyment of working for the Lee family. I will certainly tell them you sent us. Take care and check back for a post on their Dim Sum in a few weeks!
